By creating an account, posting a listing, or otherwise using Soko (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Accounts are created with your phone number and verified by a one-time code (OTP). You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device and phone number secure. You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorised use.

You may list items only if you own them or are otherwise entitled to sell them. Listings must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. You are solely responsible for your listings, including descriptions, photos, prices, and the items themselves. We may remove any listing at our discretion.

You may not list, sell, or solicit:

• Illegal goods or services, or anything you are not legally allowed to sell.
• Weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
• Drugs, controlled substances, and related paraphernalia.
• Counterfeit, stolen, or infringing goods.
• Live animals where prohibited, and protected wildlife or their products.
• Adult or sexual services, and any content exploiting minors.

You agree not to harass, defraud, spam, or mislead other users, not to scrape or abuse the Service, and not to attempt to interfere with its operation or security. Treat other users with respect.

Soko is a venue that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction, we do not take possession of items, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing or user. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. You transact at your own risk — see our safety tips.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soko and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from transactions between users, reliance on listings, or use of the Service.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
